At Al Madina Women’s Hospital, we believe that progress and continuous education are the keys to improving health ❤. Since our goal is always to develop our skills and expand our knowledge to provide the highest standards of care to our patients, we hosted a specialized workshop on bariatric surgeries under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Hany Ashour at the IFSO-accredited Bariatric Surgery Center.
We were honored to welcome Dr. Amer Al-Derazi, Consultant in General Bariatric Surgery and CEO of Middle East Hospital; Dr. Atyab Bukhalaf from Bahrain; and Dr. Ahmed Qirat, Consultant in Bariatric Surgery at SGH Specialist Hospital in Dammam.
We gathered at Al Madina Women’s Hospital in Alexandria to exchange expertise on ring-enhanced bariatric surgeries. It was a rich and fruitful experience during which we performed three advanced operations, including ring-enhanced sleeve gastrectomy, converting two unsuccessful sleeve gastrectomies into ring-enhanced gastric bypasses, and a revisional ring-enhanced sleeve gastrectomy.
Dr. Al-Derazi’s insights added significant value, helping deepen our understanding of the benefits and techniques of using rings in surgery.
